A place to share new perspectives
After 7 years of activism and 7,452 votes in the 2018 elections in Brazil, I joined Princeton University’s Class of 2023 to explore new ideas on Tech & Finance. From the heart of the Amazon Rainforest to the classrooms of an Ivy League, here I share my findings, reflections, and adventures.
What Drives Me
I consider human ingenuity to be the most prominent driver of change in the world. This inspires me to be bold, hopeful, and true to myself. Moving forward everyday.
Education
I’m currently a senior at Princeton University, considered one of the world’s finest academic institutions. Taking classes in the intersection of Computer Science and Economics, I focus on technical and financial solutions that promote social change.
Technical Skills
My technical skills include Excel, Java, Python, SQL, and WordPress. In the summer of 2020, I interned at DMI Finance, a leading Indian Fintech, and was responsible for building a machine learning model which predicts the default rate of their clients.
Soft Skills
As an activist and candidate for public office, I had life-altering opportunities to enhance my communication skills and to become a team player. Furthermore, I constantly worked under pressure without losing sight of what truly matters – my character and ideals.

About Julio
Born in Manaus, in the heart of the Brazilian Amazon, I always dreamed of living an epic life: I wanted to travel the world, challenge conventions, and leave a legacy. I could never accept what I deemed to be wrong. Something inside of me always compelled me to act.
My goal is to contribute to a more sustainable, efficient, and inclusive world – where people are free to follow their passions with dignity and equal opportunities. To that end, I’m particularly drawn to AI, lean manufacturing, and the design of smart cities.
